East Suburban Sports Medicine Center is excited to launch Telehealth services! Telehealth is the delivery of medical services remotely using HIPAA compliant technology, specifically livestream video and audio. Some people refer to these as e-visits. Patients can engage virtually with their provider for physical therapy visits. Telehealth offers both convenience and minimizing the risk of spreading illness.
Telehealth Visits are designed to replace an in-person visit and are just like your traditional PT visit, just performed virtually instead of in-person. This can be done through our secure video platform using a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a web-camera.
If you are interested in scheduling a Telehealth Visit, please give us a call at 412-856- 8060.
As it would happen with a traditional in-person visit, you and your therapist will create a treatment plan moving forward. Any visits moving forward could be a combination of in-person and virtual visits based on each patient’s individual need or unique situation.
Your Home Exercise Program will be sent to you via e-mail or text messaging and it includes videos of your exercises in a secure patient portal unique to you.
Yes. While telehealth visits are a valuable resource for your treatment plan, in-person visits are still the primary method of providing the most in-depth treatment. Learn more about why coming into the office in addition to virtual visits is important to your therapy treatment.
